Central Oregon Community College's Madras Campus is entering a milestone moment: fall term 2026 registration is open, and Jefferson County students will be the first to experience a full academic year inside the newly transformed campus that opened its doors in January.
The revamped Madras Campus, which celebrated its opening on January 5, represents the most significant investment in local higher education infrastructure Jefferson County has seen in years. The expanded learning center features updated classrooms, additional computer labs, enhanced student support services, and state-of-the-art live-streaming equipment for hybrid and remote learning.
New Programs for a Changing Economy
College officials say the expanded facility positions the Madras Campus to offer a broader range of career and technical education programs that align with Jefferson County's evolving economy — including workforce training tracks in healthcare, agriculture technology, and construction trades.
The College Now dual-enrollment program, which allows Madras High School students to earn college credit while still in high school, will continue offering courses through the campus. Registration information for the 2026-27 academic year is expected to be posted at cocc.edu in September.
Fall Term Dates
COCC's fall term 2026 is expected to begin in late September. Prospective students are encouraged to apply now and connect with student support services at the Madras Campus before seats fill in high-demand courses. Financial aid applications should be submitted as early as possible to ensure award letters are ready before the term begins.
"The Madras Campus is no longer just a satellite location — it's a full community college experience right here in Jefferson County," one college official said at the January opening ceremony.
