Jefferson County's calendar is filling up fast as summer kicks into gear, with events ranging from a high desert rock festival to a gem and mineral show, a STEM summer camp for local kids, and the Saturday Market running through Labor Day weekend. Here's what's happening in the coming weeks.

Harefest Presents Legends Reloaded — June 19–20

The Jefferson County Events Complex hosts Harefest's Legends Reloaded festival on June 19–20, billed as a high desert rock 'n' roll fantasy. The all-ages event admits kids 12 and under free. Tickets are available at legendsreloaded.com.

Made in Jefferson County EDCO Tour — June 18

The Economic Development for Central Oregon (EDCO) hosts its annual Made in Jefferson County tour on Thursday, June 18, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Featured stops this year include Central Oregon Seed, Inc., Keith Manufacturing, and Poland Organic Dairy — a chance to see the agricultural and industrial backbone of the local economy up close. Madras Rock and Gem Show — June 23–28

The Jefferson County Event Complex hosts the Madras Rock and Gem Show from June 23–28, opening at 11 a.m. daily. Jefferson County's high desert landscape produces some of Oregon's most sought-after rockhounding territory — thundereggs, agates, obsidian, and fossils are among the finds that draw collectors from across the region.

COCC STEM Summer Camp — June 22–25

The Madras campus of Central Oregon Community College is hosting a free four-day STEM summer camp for Jefferson County and Culver students, June 22–25, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The program includes free transportation and lunch, plus a swag bag. Madras Saturday Market — Every Saturday Through Sept. 5

The Madras Saturday Market runs weekly at Sahalee Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday through September 5. Vendors offer artisan goods, baked goods, handmade products, and food.

Mt. Bachelor Kennel Club Dog Show — June 25–28

Dog enthusiasts can catch the Mt. Bachelor Kennel Club Dog Show at the Jefferson County Events Complex June 25–28, featuring breed judging and competition across dozens of categories.

Metolius Summer Kick-Off — June 27

The community of Metolius celebrates summer on June 27 with a pancake breakfast at the Train Depot starting at 8 a.m., followed by lunch at the Desert Inn. Family activities include kids karaoke at 10 a.m., a live band from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., games and prizes, and a silent auction.
