Spirit Fest Summer Potluck — Today, Warm Springs

The Spirit Fest summer potluck picnic is taking place today, Saturday, August 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Warm Springs Campus Pavilion. Madras Saturday Market — Today at Sahalee Park

The Madras Saturday Market is open today from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Sahalee Park in downtown Madras. The weekly market features local vendors, produce, crafts, and more. It's a great way to support local growers and artisans as the summer season winds down.

Simnasho Tribal Market — Final Weekend

The Simnasho Tribal Market is open Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., located by the Simnasho Longhouse. This Labor Day weekend marks the final weekend of the market's summer season — don't miss it if you've been meaning to go.

Young Adults in Transitions Drop-In Center

The Young Adults in Transitions Drop-In Center in Madras is open this Saturday for both teens and young adults. Located at 241 SW 6th Street, the center provides a welcoming space and resources covering mental health, education and career planning, employment readiness, housing support, financial literacy, and life skills.

  • Youth ages 14–18 (in school): Wednesdays & Saturdays, 3–7 p.m.
  • Young adults 18–25 (not in school): Saturdays, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

Community Voter Rallies — Every Saturday Through October

A local community group is hosting weekly voter engagement rallies every Saturday morning from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the North Y in Madras. The nonpartisan gatherings aim to encourage voter registration and participation ahead of this fall's general election. Rallies continue through October 31st and are open to all community members.

Boys & Girls Club — Summer Program Closing

Families should note that the last day of the summer program at the Boys & Girls Club is Tuesday, September 2nd. The club will be closed September 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 8th, and will reopen on the first day of school, September 9th, for the after-school program running 2:50–5:30 p.m.

Coming Up: Search Party for Missing Teen Tyler Kalama

A volunteer-led search party meeting for missing Warm Springs teen Tyler Kalama will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd from 5:30–8:00 p.m. at the Agency Longhouse. All community members are welcome to attend, share information, and sign up to assist in future search efforts. Organizers ask anyone with information about Tyler's whereabouts to come forward.
