The Museum at Warm Springs is inviting tribal members to submit artwork for the 33rd Annual Warm Springs Tribal Member and Youth Art Exhibit — a cherished showcase of Confederated Tribes creativity that has become one of the most anticipated cultural events on the reservation calendar each winter.
Exhibition Details
The exhibition is scheduled to open on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, and will remain on view through February 20, 2027. Work will be displayed in the Changing Exhibits Gallery inside the museum, giving artists a professional gallery setting to share their creations with visitors from across Central Oregon and beyond.
Who Can Submit
Both adult and youth tribal members are encouraged to submit work for consideration. The annual exhibit is notable for the range of artistic voices it brings together — from young artists submitting for the first time to established creators with deep exhibition histories. All artistic mediums and styles reflective of tribal culture and individual expression are welcomed.
Opening Reception
The museum will host a public opening reception on November 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Museum members and the general public are both welcome to attend. The reception offers an opportunity to meet the artists, experience the exhibit in its opening-night setting, and celebrate the artistic legacy of the Confederated Tribes community.
About the Museum
The Museum at Warm Springs, located on the Warm Springs Reservation along U.S. Highway 26, holds one of the finest collections of Plateau Native American cultural artifacts in the country. Permanent galleries detail the culture, history, and traditions of the three confederated peoples — the Warm Springs, Wasco, and Paiute nations.
The museum recently concluded a well-attended exhibition featuring the work of celebrated Warm Springs artist Lillian Pitt, titled Art, Memory, Home, which ran through October 10. The Annual Tribal Member Exhibit now picks up the torch, shifting the spotlight to the broader artistic community within the tribe.
How to Participate
Tribal members interested in submitting work should contact The Museum at Warm Springs directly for submission requirements and deadlines. Information is available through the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs at warmsprings-nsn.gov or by calling the museum directly. Submissions are being accepted now ahead of the November 18 opening reception.
