The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Enterprises completed a three-district community briefing series this week, with the final meeting held Thursday evening at the Seekseequa Fire Hall. Tribal enterprise representatives presented revenue projections for the coming period to district members, with a community meal provided at 6:00 p.m. before the meeting got underway.
The Seekseequa gathering was the third in a series of district meetings that also included stops at the Agency Longhouse and the Simnasho Longhouse, giving members from across the reservation an opportunity to hear directly from tribal enterprise leadership about financial performance and projections.
Community Health Programs Growing
Separately, the September meeting of the Native Aspirations Community Prevention Program highlighted expanding services across the reservation. Warm Springs Health and Fitness reported growth in community programming, expanded nutrition outreach efforts, and the development of a new personal training program aimed at improving overall wellness among tribal members.
The Native Aspirations group, which focuses on community-driven substance use prevention and overall wellbeing, typically convenes on the first Monday of each month at the old school cafeteria in Warm Springs.
Vital Statistics Check Reissues Underway
The Warm Springs Vital Statistics Department announced this week that it has submitted 60 check reissue packets to the tribal Accounts Payable office following a recent address-verification effort. Reissued checks are being mailed on a weekly basis.
Because digital payment options are not currently available for these disbursements, the department is offering a convenient alternative for local banking customers: tribal members who bank with Mid Oregon Credit Union, U.S. Bank, or Columbia Bank can drop off a signed direct-deposit authorization form at the Vital Statistics office, and staff will handle the deposit personally.

GED Classes Under Way
Fall term GED classes in Warm Springs are now in session, having launched Monday, September 21, at the Education Building.
