The clock is ticking for Warm Springs tribal members who plan to pursue higher education or job training this fall. The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Higher Education Department has set June 30, 2026 as the deadline for scholarship applications for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Tribal members interested in financial assistance for college, vocational school, or approved job training programs are encouraged to complete and submit their applications before the deadline. Missing the deadline could mean going without tribal financial support for an entire academic year.

Who Is Eligible

Enrolled members of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs who are accepted to or enrolled in an accredited college, university, vocational school, or job training program are generally eligible to apply. The Higher Education Department reviews applications based on academic standing, enrollment status, and financial need.

How to Apply

Prospective applicants should contact the CTWS Higher Education Department directly for application materials and instructions. The department is located in Warm Springs and can also be reached by phone or email for those with questions about eligibility or required documentation.

The OSU Extension Service offices in Warm Springs, which work closely with tribal community members on educational and agricultural programs, will be closed on Friday, June 19 to observe the Juneteenth holiday.

Broader Educational Opportunities

Beyond tribal scholarships, Warm Springs community members also have access to financial aid, scholarships, and support programs through Central Oregon Community College's Madras campus — which has worked to build relationships with the Warm Springs community and is accessible to tribal members across Jefferson County.

The COCC Madras Campus can be reached at the Madras campus office for information about enrollment, financial aid, and academic support services for the upcoming fall term.
