Warm Springs residents are invited to a free Tribal Community Energy Fair happening today, Tuesday, June 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the campus pavilion.

The event, announced through KWSO 91.9, will feature interactive activities, giveaways, information on energy-saving tips, and an overview of the Confederated Tribes’ current and future energy projects. Raffle prizes and free food will also be available.

Energy and Sovereignty

The fair comes at a time of growing tribal interest in energy independence and sustainability. The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs have long been involved in renewable energy, including hydroelectric generation on the Deschutes River, and are exploring new opportunities in solar and storage as part of their broader economic development strategy.

The event is an opportunity for community members to learn how energy projects on the reservation connect to daily life — from electricity bills to long-term tribal economic health.

What to Expect

  • Interactive energy-saving displays and demonstrations
  • Information booths on current and proposed tribal energy projects
  • Giveaways and raffle prizes
  • Free food and refreshments
  • Open to all tribal members and community residents

The Warm Springs campus pavilion is located in the central part of the reservation. The fair runs all day, so attendees can drop in at any time between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
