The Madras High School White Buffalos varsity football team recognized its senior class Friday night during Senior Night, hosting the Creswell Bulldogs in the final home game of the 2026 season at the MHS Athletic Complex.

Before kickoff, seniors were honored in a pre-game ceremony celebrating their contributions to the White Buffalos program. For many of these young men, Friday marked the last time they would suit up and take the field in front of the home crowd — a milestone moment for players, families, coaches, and the Madras community that fills those bleachers each fall.

With the home slate now complete, Madras turns its attention to the road for one final regular-season contest:

A Season of Growth

The 2026 season has been a challenging one for the White Buffalos, who have faced a tough Midwestern League schedule. While the won-loss record hasn't always reflected it, the program has continued to develop young players and maintain the competitive spirit that defines Madras High School athletics.

For the seniors who will close out their careers on October 30, the trip to Sisters carries extra meaning — a last chance to compete together as a team before their high school days come to an end.

Fall Sports Wrap-Up

Football isn't the only sport heading into its final stretch. The Madras volleyball team has also been playing through the end of its Midwestern League schedule, with postseason implications potentially on the line. Cross country runners are eyeing district championships as well.
