Summer in Jefferson County has an anchor, and it’s almost here. The 2026 Jefferson County Fair & Rodeo runs July 21–25 at the Jefferson County Event Complex on Fairgrounds Road in Madras, and organizers say the five-day event is shaping up to be one of the best yet.
The Jefferson County Fair is the largest annual event in the county, drawing thousands of visitors from Madras, Crooked River Ranch, Culver, Metolius, Warm Springs, and communities well beyond Jefferson County. It is a celebration of the agricultural heritage, 4-H and FFA youth programs, rodeo tradition, and community spirit that define life in this part of Oregon.
What’s Happening
The fair’s lineup includes the full range of classic county fair attractions:
- Livestock shows featuring cattle, sheep, goats, swine, and rabbits judged by experienced agricultural evaluators
- 4-H and FFA exhibits showcasing the work of Jefferson County youth in agriculture, home arts, crafts, and more
- Rodeo events including bull riding, barrel racing, team roping, and other PRCA-sanctioned competitions
- Local vendors and food from across the region
- Live entertainment across multiple days
- Family-friendly activities for all ages throughout the complex’s 50-plus-acre grounds
The Venue
The Jefferson County Event Complex is the heart of the fair, with twenty buildings and barns spread across the fairgrounds. The Corwin Arena serves as the centerpiece for rodeo events and has also been available for open riding earlier in the summer on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The complex is located at the intersection of Fairgrounds Road in Madras, easily accessible from Highway 26 and Highway 97.
